The 411 on crackle nail polish!

It’s the new thing in the nail world and it seems to be really setting sail. The first time I came across this new idea I was actually at a nail salon and when I first saw it I thought it was weird!!! After that I began to see it everywhere!

My sister recently purchased the 2012 crackle nail polish (color: savior) at a local boutique and as I pictured I applied it over silver nail polish and over hot pink nail polish.

What I love: its a neat effect and can cover up mistakes from the base coat! It dries fast!

What I don’t so much love: it looks chalky without a clear top coat.

Tips: do a thin layer of the crackle and don’t re-brush over old strokes. Aka don’t layer polish. I was sure to start at the complete side of the nail and move across avoiding over lapping to ensure the best cracks. Otherwise it might not crack as much.

Be creative and try different base colors with opposing crackle color for super cool effects. I’m sure you’ll be asked about it everywhere you go 🙂

I’m not sure if using different brands of crackle will have an impact on your experience but this worked for me and it was only 3.99!!

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more beauty tips, reviews, and tutorials 🙂

Time for a Review!!!

Personally, I have a hard time finding the right lipstick. It’s either do I go matte or shimmering or glossy? What’s my color? Can I pull off a red? All these questions have really made me turned off from the subject until I found a found starter lipstick.

I’m talking about NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream. Holly love of make up I think these are great. I’ve tried stick lipstick from a wide range of companies and they usually don’t stay on, they stain, and they are usually wayyyy too glossy for my taste.

I was drawn to this product because it is matte, the color selection is fair and I LOVE the way they feel. I think its great to start with a matte type of lipstick because it is a base for whatever look. You can definitely add shimmer or gloss or leave as is. The texture is creamy and smooth. I do recommend putting a lip balm on prior to application to prevent it from feeling dry after a bit. The colors are true to what you see in the tube and I believe it will last me a long time. And you can never argue with the price of a NYX product.

If the subject of lipstick frightens you like it did me go grab a few of these. Start out with a color close to your natural lip color then try a light pink or coral. That color seems to look nice on every skin tone!

I hope you enjoyed this review and let me know what you wanna know about next!!
